Women in Horror Month: Social Media Retrospective (2024–2026)
This project showcases a curated selection of social media content created for Medusa, an independent publishing house, participating in the annual Women in Horror Month online event.
Project Overview
The primary objective of this recurring campaign is to highlight and celebrate female contributors to the dark art & writing. Each March, participating publishing houses and authors presents the work of writers, translators, illustrators, and graphic designers who specialize in horror, the weird, and dark speculative fiction.
Visual Evolution
The series spans three years of digital promotion, reflecting a shift in visual identity and the integration of custom assets.
For 2025 & 2026, original illustrations created specifically for these editions were introduced. These custom visuals were designed to mirror the “weird” and atmospheric themes prevalent in the featured works, moving away from stock imagery toward a unique brand aesthetic.
Key Contributions
Art Direction & Illustration: Original artwork for the 2025 and 2026 cycles.
Content Curation: Selection of featured artists and authors to align with the publisher’s dark-themed portfolio.
