Pulver Day 2026: Visual Identity and Merch
This project presents the complete visual design and accompanying merchandise for Pulver Day 2026, an event organized by the Medusa publishing house. The objective was to honor the legacy and work of the modern weird fiction master Joseph S. Pulver sr. by bridging his literary influence with modern illustration.
Concept and Visual Style
The visual identity is based on a combination of expressive digital drawing and bold typography. The central elements include an original portrait of the author and dedicated illustrations. To maintain a unified, raw, and atmospheric aesthetic that corresponds with Pulver’s work, the Schmaltzy typeface was used.
Project Components
portrait of Joe Pulver – an original digital drawing serving as the primary visual motif for the event
short story illustration – visual artwork for the story “One Window, Two Hearts”

social media and promotion – a unified visual style for informational posts, author profile, and links to titles published by Medusa.
